At present we do not know a lot about Brother Samuel Thomas Chapman.

Temple Lodge, No.33 records show that Brother Samuel Thomas Chapman, age 57, occupation: Yard Foreman, made a Petition for Affiliation which was received at the Regular Lodge meeting of 13 February 1917 and the following Investigating Committee appointed:  Wor. Bros. William Dwyer and R.C. Fawcett and Bro. Harold Prevost.

His application was balloted on and he was duly elected a member of Temple Lodge, No. 33 by Affiliation. He demitted from Temple Lodge, No. 33 in 1933.

Here is the information we have uncovered so far about Brother Samuel Thomas Chapman. We will post more information on Brother Chapman as we discover it.

 

“A Petition for membership by Affiliation was received from Brother Samuel Thomas Chapman, accompanied by his demit from Des Peres Lodge, No. 85 F.&A.M. located at De Pere, Wisconsin, U.S.A. Bro. Chapman, in his petition states he was born at Des Pere, Wisconsin, that his age is 57 years, his occupation that of Yard Foreman, his residence Genoa Bay, B.C. and that he was made a mason in Des Peres Lodge, No. 85, F. & A.M. Bro. Chapman was recommended for membership in this Lodge by Wor. Bro. Thos. Pitt and Wor. Bro. J.H. Peterson. Moved by Wor. Bro. Thos. Pitt and seconded by Wor. Bro. Wm. M. Dwyer that the petition of Bro. Chapman be received and the usual investigating committee appointed. The motion was carried and the Wor. Master appointed Wor. Bro. Wm. M. Dwyer, Wor. Bro. R.C. Fawcett and Bro. Sen. Warden H.F. Prevost as such committee....”

“....Correspondence was presented and read, viz:
From the Very Wor. Bro. Gr. Secretary certifying the Brother Samuel Thomas Chapman of Des Peres Lodge, No.85, Wisconsin, is free of the Black List.....

  
...The Investigating Committee on the petition of Bro. Samuel Thomas Chapman for membership by affiliation presented a favourable report, when it was moved by the Bro. Secretary, seconded by the Bro. Senior Deacon, that the Committee report be received, the committee discharged and the petition balloted on. Motion carried, and the ballot concluded it was declared fair in the S., clear in the W. and bright and unspotted in the E. and the Wor. Master declared Brother Samuel Thomas Chapman regularly elected a member of this Lodge....”
